Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced plans to unveil the company’s Robotaxi vehicle in August, following reports of scrapping a $25,000 electric vehicle project. Musk shared insights during the first-quarter earnings call, revealing an accelerated timeline for the release of next-generation vehicles. Production of these vehicles is set to commence by late 2024 or early 2025, utilizing both current and next-generation platforms on existing manufacturing lines.
“We’ve updated our future vehicle lineup to accelerate the launch of new models ahead, previously mentioned start of production in the second half of 2025. So, we expect it to be more like the early 2025, if not late this year,” Musk stated.
