Tesla is actively preparing for the production of its highly anticipated Cybertruck with a new job posting at its Gigafactory Texas. The electric vehicle manufacturer is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to oversee the stamping processes of the Cybertruck and ensure the production of high-quality vehicles through risk analysis and process improvement.

This job posting comes after several other employment opportunities were posted by Tesla last year, including Dimensional Engineers, Manufacturing Operations Leaders, Senior Equipment Managers, and Senior Equipment Engineers, all related to Cybertruck production.

Tesla plans to utilize casting and stamping machines to manufacture the Cybertruck, a method it has used for other vehicles in its lineup. The company has been receiving these machines at its Gigafactory Texas location for months and CEO Elon Musk confirmed that Cybertruck production is expected to begin this summer, though volume production won’t likely start until next year.

While the design of the Cybertruck was finalized earlier this year, Chief Vehicle Designer Franz von Holzhausen has stated that Tesla does not have a “pencils down” approach to the ultimate look. Recent sightings of the Cybertruck have generated excitement among the Tesla community, but it remains unclear whether the design seen on public roads is the final version the automaker plans to bring to market later this year.
