Tesla celebrates a milestone of 2 millionth EVs produced at The Fremont Factory

Tesla has just reached a major milestone by producing its 2 millionth electric vehicle from one of its initial factories in Fremont, California.

Tesla’s factory in Fremont is known for producing the Model 3, but it also manufactures the Model Y, Model S and Model X.

The Fremont plant was once a production facility operated by Toyota and GM before they sold it to Tesla in 2010.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk congratulated the entire Tesla team for this achievement. He especially congratulated Tesla’s Fremont factory as well as Giga Nevada (which supplied the components).

In the early days of using the Fremont plant, Tesla had to fight hard to increase its production capacity. Tesla has finally succeeded in increasing production of electric vehicles at the factory including those for the Model Y, Model S, and Model X.

Earlier this year, the Tesla Fremont Plant became even the most productive car manufacturer in the US. Tesla’s production of cars in Fremont is now more than it was when operated by GM and Toyota.
