Tesla is ramping up efforts to boost vehicle deliveries by the year’s end, introducing three months of free Supercharging and Full Self-Driving (FSD) as part of its promotional offerings in North America.
The incentives, effective from November 14 through December 31, 2024, apply to new inventory vehicles. “Customers who take delivery of a new inventory vehicle… are eligible for three months of free Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and Supercharging,” Tesla stated, emphasizing that the offer cannot be transferred or postponed. Used vehicles and business orders are excluded.
These perks join existing discounts, 0% APR financing, and FSD transfer options as Tesla aims to deliver over 515,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter. The automaker is under pressure to maintain its decade-long streak of annual delivery growth, with a strong performance in North America being critical to achieving this goal.
The incentives coincide with market dynamics influenced by President-elect Donald Trump’s plans to eliminate the $7,500 federal EV tax credit starting January 2025. The looming policy shift could spur short-term EV demand, though Tesla’s new offers suggest it is leaving no stone unturned in its year-end sales push.
Tesla is reportedly offering even steeper discounts in Europe, signaling a comprehensive global strategy to maximize deliveries before the close of 2024.
