StoreDot and Circulor Partner to Ensure Sustainable and Transparent Battery Supply Chains for EVs

StoreDot, the leading innovator in extreme fast charging battery technology for EVs, has teamed up with Circulor, a top-tier provider of supply chain traceability solutions, to monitor the origins and carbon footprint of the raw materials utilized in the production of its battery cells. The goal is to ensure ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.

As StoreDot aims to revolutionize EV charging with its cutting-edge technology that can charge an EV for 100 miles in just five minutes by 2024, the company is also committed to sustainability. By collaborating with Circulor, StoreDot can gain full visibility into its battery supply chains and provide comprehensive traceability data to global automotive manufacturers and regulators.

The partnership between StoreDot and Circulor has already kicked off with the implementation of Circulor’s traceability solution to track upstream battery material production and related carbon emissions. This information will be available to EV OEM customers and regulators who are seeking to assess the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts.

StoreDot has also joined forces with Circulor in the German government’s “Battery Pass” project as an associate member. The two companies will work together within the project to further industry collaboration and prepare for the EU Battery Regulation. Circulor, a founding consortium member and leader of the technology workstream, will continue to drive this effort forward.
