Stellantis reported a 12% year-on-year decline in U.S. vehicle sales for the first quarter of 2025, delivering 293,225 units, down from the same period a year earlier. The downturn follows a 15% full-year sales drop in 2024 when the company sold 1.3 million vehicles in the United States.
While overall volumes fell, Stellantis highlighted growth in select electrified models. Fiat, buoyed by the all-electric 500e, recorded a 239% increase in U.S. sales, rising to 522 vehicles from 154 in Q1 2024. Despite the percentage gain, the brand’s volume remained modest.

Chrysler posted one of the few substantial gains across Stellantis’ U.S. portfolio, delivering 35,069 vehicles in the quarter. The Pacifica minivan accounted for the majority of sales at 32,409 units, including 4,148 plug-in hybrid variants. “Pacifica Hybrid sales accounted for 12.8% of the model’s numbers,” the company said, translating into a 98% year-on-year increase.
Other Stellantis brands experienced declines. Dodge saw overall sales fall 49%, despite the introduction of the all-electric Charger Daytona, which reached 1,947 units. This figure nearly doubled the 1,052 units sold of the prior-generation gasoline model, which ended production in 2023. Stellantis noted that unsold inventory of 2023 Dodge Challengers remained available, with over 800 units listed nationwide.

Jeep introduced the all-electric Wagoneer S during the quarter, achieving 2,595 sales in its first market appearance. Stellantis reported a 21% month-over-month sales increase from February to March for the new model. Plug-in hybrid sales for the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe also grew 36% over the same period. In total, the Wrangler 4xe made up 26% of Wrangler sales in Q1, equating to approximately 9,887 units, while the Grand Cherokee 4xe comprised 23% of its model’s quarterly sales, or around 11,147 vehicles.
However, on a year-over-year basis, Wrangler 4xe sales fell 48%, and Grand Cherokee 4xe sales declined 12%.
Despite the positive developments in electrified models, Stellantis faces ongoing challenges in reversing broader sales declines across its U.S. operations. The company continues to navigate evolving consumer demand and increased competition in the electric and hybrid vehicle segments.
