Stellantis has partnered with energy software company Kaluza to offer direct-to-vehicle smart charging solutions across its electric vehicle (EV) lineup.
This collaboration enables Stellantis EV owners to benefit from managed charging services that optimize energy usage, reduce costs, and alleviate pressure on the energy grid, without the need for additional hardware.
Kaluza’s platform integrates directly with Stellantis vehicles, offering drivers more affordable and environmentally friendly charging options.
The partnership allows Stellantis drivers to charge their vehicles during periods when energy is greener and less expensive, reducing the cost of EV ownership. Kaluza’s telematics expertise ensures seamless integration, eliminating the need for separate charging equipment. By aligning energy consumption with renewable energy availability, this collaboration helps reduce both customer costs and the strain on energy grids.
Neel Gulhar, Chief Product Officer at Kaluza, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, “We are enabling energy retailers and automakers to transform EVs into intelligent energy assets, making the switch to electric even greener by optimising charging to support a renewables-powered system.”
Kaluza, already collaborating with major brands like Volvo, Volkswagen, and Porsche, continues to expand its presence in the EV industry. By offering smart charging solutions and focusing on decarbonization, Kaluza aims to make electric vehicle ownership more efficient and sustainable, contributing to a cleaner energy future while supporting global efforts toward renewable energy integration.
