Skoda, the Czech Volkswagen subsidiary, has recently launched a new app for its Enyaq iV and Enyaq Coupé iV infotainment systems. The app, called Powerpass Map, offers EV drivers a range of features that make it easier to locate charging stations across Europe.
One of the most notable features of the Powerpass Map is its ability to show public charging points directly on the central display of the Enyaq iV and Enyaq Coupé iV. The app provides essential information such as operating hours, the number of charge points available, maximum charging power, and prices. The map displays available charging points “within and outside the Powerpass network,” which comprises over 500,000 charging points across Europe.

Skoda has made it easy for users to filter searches based on individual requirements, making it more convenient to find suitable charging points. The map also marks stations already in the Powerpass network with a symbol, making it easy for drivers to identify those that accept Powerpass.
In addition, the app features a new rating function that allows users to rate and comment on the charging stations directly in the app. While Skoda has not explicitly stated whether they moderate these comments, the feedback is available for others to view, providing valuable insights for other EV drivers.

The Powerpass Map app is free and can be downloaded directly from the infotainment system of Enyaq iV and Enyaq Coupé iV vehicles that have at least ME3.0 vehicle software installed. EV drivers can also search for and display charging points using the MyŠkoda or Powerpass mobile apps.
Overall, the Powerpass Map app is an excellent addition to Skoda’s efforts to make EV charging more accessible and user-friendly. The app’s features, such as displaying charging stations on the central display and providing essential information, will undoubtedly enhance the EV driving experience for Skoda Enyaq iV and Enyaq Coupé iV drivers.
