With its funky and compact style, it’s no wonder that the Toyota C-HR had gained such great popularity among their consumers.
First introduced to the world at the end of 2016, the Toyota C-HR is considered one of the cars that offers quite a pleasant experience. And according to rumors, Toyota is working on a new generation.
From Carbuzz reports, consumers are likely to be treated to a new electric-powered C-HR, which is expected to arrive as early as next year. The new C-HR is rumored to be adopting a more evolutionary design approach, with a sleeker and more aggressive look as Toyota needs to compete with the new Honda HR-V.
Apart from the all-electric variant, Toyota is also reportedly planning to introduce a hybrid variant powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as a complement. Rumors also suggest that the new C-HR will be paired with a four-wheel drive system for better traction and improved performance.
It remains unclear whether the electric model will retain the C-HR nameplate or be introduced as the Toyota bZ3x. However, several Japanese automotive forums predict that the name will change to bZ3x, so that it can accompany the bZ4x as Toyota’s EV line.
Consumers in Japan also expect the new C-HR to come in a smaller size and offer fresher technology and features.
