Luxury automaker Rolls-Royce is set to make a grand entrance at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed by bringing its entire lineup to the highly anticipated event. Among the highlights is the debut of the electric Spectre coupe, ready to conquer the festival’s renowned hill climb course. Alongside the Spectre, the Cullinan, Ghost, and Phantom models will also be on display, shining a spotlight on Rolls-Royce’s extensive customization options.
The Spectre, boasting an eye-catching two-tone Chartreuse and Black Diamond finish, is equipped with impressive 23-inch wheels—a noteworthy feat as it marks the first time in nearly a century that such large wheels have been fitted to a coupe by the automaker. Inside, the interior of the Spectre is adorned in a striking chartreuse color scheme, featuring accents of Grace White and Peony Pink.
Powered by a dual-motor electric drivetrain with all-wheel drive, the Spectre delivers an impressive 584 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, ensuring a swift and exhilarating ascent up the hill climb course. Accelerating from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 155 mph, the Spectre promises a thrilling driving experience. Customers can expect deliveries to commence in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Rolls-Royce’s dedication to customization will be showcased through the Phantom Extended model at the festival. Inspired by the world of yachting, this unique commission features a captivating Submariner Blue exterior paired with a nautical-themed interior. Navy dominates the cabin, including the steering wheel and seatbelts, while Shelby Grey and Sunset stitching adds an exquisite touch in the rear. The Phantom Extended boasts a one-of-a-kind dashboard Gallery, where a single glass panel displays a weave pattern reminiscent of yacht rigging. Completing the ensemble, a bespoke luggage collection in Navy and White perfectly complements the luxurious aesthetic.
Notably, the brand’s best-selling model, the Cullinan, will also make an appearance, drawing inspiration from the vibrant pop-art style of the 1950s and 1960s. Its Gunmetal exterior, adorned with a double Coachline and Coachline Motif in Phoenix Red and Serenity Green, is sure to turn heads. Red brake calipers add a dash of sportiness to the overall look. Inside the Cullinan, Rolls-Royce has tastefully incorporated a red geometric pattern throughout, further emphasizing the model’s artistic theme.
Completing the star-studded lineup is the Ghost, sporting an elegant Iced Arctic White exterior. Its Black and Iceland Moss interior is accentuated with Mandarin seat piping, exuding a refined and contemporary ambiance. Introduced in 2020, the Ghost features the bespoke Rolls-Royce Architecture of Luxury and is powered by a formidable 6.8-liter V12 engine, producing 563 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. This impressive powertrain propels the Ghost from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.5 seconds.
In addition to Rolls-Royce’s captivating offerings, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will be packed with exciting automotive attractions. Lamborghini plans to unveil its LMDh race car, while the highly anticipated Hyundai Ioniq 5 N will make its official debut. Dynamic debuts on the hill climb course include the McLaren Solus GT and 750S, along with the AIM EV Sport 01 concept. Caterham will also reveal its Project V model, scheduled for July 12, while Ineos has already teased the Grenadier Quartermaster pickup, and a range of new MG concepts are set to make their debut as well.
