Rivian has unveiled its new inventory shop, offering customers a quicker path to owning the acclaimed R1T electric pickup truck. This development allows prospective buyers to receive their R1T orders in as little as 1 to 6 weeks when opting for vehicles available in Rivian’s inventory.
In an email addressed to its customers, Rivian outlined the expanded options for obtaining the R1T, stating, “Now, there are two ways to get behind the wheel of the award-winning R1T. You can make a reservation and put together your own custom configuration. Or you can shop available R1T inventory that delivers in just 1–6 weeks.”
The inventory shop is designed to streamline the purchase process. Customers initiate their search by specifying their preferred delivery location through a zip code. Additionally, they can indicate their choice of paint color.
For instance, when searching under a New Jersey zip code (08234) and selecting a blue paint option, the inventory reveals a single Rivian R1T vehicle. This particular R1T model is the Dual-Motor AWD variant, priced at $83,500. The cost includes an additional $6,000 for the Large battery pack and an extra $2,500 for the blue exterior. Furthermore, the R1T’s Ocean Coast + Dark Ash Wood interior incurs an additional charge of $2,000. Customers can expect delivery within a window of 1 to 6 weeks.
Comparatively, customizing a blue R1T with similar specifications would result in a comparable cost. However, the standard lead time for custom Rivian R1T builds typically ranges within 4 months or less.
Rivian’s introduction of the inventory shop provides an attractive alternative for those eager to experience the R1T but prefer a more expedited delivery process.
