Porsche has released a special edition Porsche Taycan GTS celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Hockenheimring circuit.
“With this exclusive special edition, we are not only satisfying our electric sports car enthusiasts, but are confirming our attachment to the Hockenheimring,” said Alexander Pollich, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Deutschland GmbH.
“We wish a happy birthday to this legendary and historically rich race track,” added Pollich.
Starting from the specifications, the Taycan GTS Hockenheimring edition is no different from the usual Taycan GTS.
It is equipped with two all-wheel-drive electric motors capable of spitting out the highest peak power of 440 kW or 598 hp and 850 Nm of torque.
Porsche has also provided the Taycan GTS with a 93.4 kWh battery which is claimed to be sufficient for 439-504 kilometers according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) standards.
So what’s so special about this Hockenheimring edition? First, from the exterior color, this edition of the Taycan GTS gets a Stone Gray color.
The colors from the Porsche Paint to Sample program are combined with Bronzite colored exterior accents and the ’90 Hockenheimring Edition’ badge.
Oh yes, Porsche did not forget to provide Mission E Design 21-inch rims which have a blend of Stone Gray and Bronzite colors.
This special edition Taycan GTS also gets one unique feature, namely a puddle lamp that projects 90 letters and a Hockenheimring layout.
However, the most interesting ‘feature’ of this edition of the Taycan GTS is the privilege to enter the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) Hockenheimring.
This exclusive access also gives owners of the Taycan GTS the Hockenheimring edition a free charge for two years at PEC.
Unfortunately Porsche only offers this special edition Taycan GTS in Germany and a select few European markets.
