The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has become an electric car that has stolen attention lately because of its different design compared to other cars in general. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has also just won the 2022 World Car Of The Year Award.
The latest news states that Hyundai is developing the latest variant of the electric car. Reported from Motor1.com, Saturday (23/4/2022), Hyundai is believed to be working on the latest variant of the Ioniq 5 with a more sporty concept and high performance. Sort of, an electric sports car.
The electric car, whose body is covered in camouflage stickers, was caught on camera being tested in an area near the Nurburgring race track.
When compared with the Ioniq 5, there is a clear difference in the rims. The rim design in the photo uses a ten-spoke rim that is thought to have been forged. While the Ioniq 5 which is marketed, the design is more closed, like a monoblock.
Hyundai is believed to be giving the Ioniq 5 the ‘N’ label, like other high-performance Hyundai cars. In addition to the rims, changes are also believed to be in the interior, such as the seats and steering wheel that look more sporty.
About the propulsion, Hyundai has not announced it. However, it is possible to adopt the Kia EV6 GT. The electric car uses a dual-motor configuration.
Thus, the driving force becomes all-wheel-drive (AWD) and produces power up to 577 tk and 740 Nm of torque. That much power is enough to make the EV6 GT reach 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, almost on par with a supercar.
Meanwhile, the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) used by Hyundai is claimed to be able to deliver up to 600 hp of power.
However, there is no indication when Hyundai will showcase the electric car. It is not known for certain whether it will use the N logo. But, what is clear is that Hyundai is also thinking about making this electric sports car.
