Milence has inaugurated its first truck charging park in Italy, marking a significant step in its expansion across Europe. The new site, located in Bagnolo San Vito along the A22 Brenner motorway, features four high-power chargers (HPC) with a capacity of up to 400 kW. This development strengthens Milence’s commitment to supporting zero-emission freight transport by providing crucial infrastructure for heavy-duty electric vehicles.
Italy becomes the sixth country to host a Milence charging park, following the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, and Germany. The Bagnolo San Vito site is strategically positioned about 40 kilometers south of Verona, serving as a key link between the Po Valley, the city of Modena, and the A1 motorway.

It also forms part of the Scandinavian-Mediterranean corridor, an essential route for European logistics connecting Bologna with Austria. The charging hub features five parking bays equipped with fast chargers, and Milence plans to introduce megawatt charging systems (MCS) alongside the current CCS standard in the future. Additionally, the site includes rest and sanitation facilities for truck drivers, enhancing the overall convenience of long-haul freight operations.
At the opening ceremony, Milence CEO Anja van Niersen emphasized the company’s vision for a sustainable transport network, stating, “This hub provides Italy with a solid foundation to meet the growing demand for zero-emission transport solutions. It marks a significant leap towards the future of road transport in Italy and across Europe as we move towards a sustainable and carbon-neutral future.”
