Maserati published a new photo of GranTurismo Folgore alongside the announcement of Maserati’s partnership with ROKiT Venturi Racing for the 2023 Formula E World Championship season.
Last month Maserati announced the latest Maserati GranTurismo EV electric car technology teaser, which was the beginning of Maserati’s vision to be fully electric by 2030.
The fully electric GranTurismo Folgore that will debut this year is covered in a thin layer of blue wrap with Trident graphics on the profile, which does little to hide the design.
The fully electric GranTurismo Folgore comes with a long hood, lots of curves, prominent shoulders, three-spoke alloy wheels, headlights inspired by the MC20 supercar.
The GranTurismo Folgore is claimed to produce more than 650 hp, the largest Maserati has ever produced. That power is faster than the GranTurismo ICE with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6.
By 2025, the Maserati-owned line will be offered in the Folgore variant, before the Trident brand becomes electric-only in 2030.
