Electrified vehicles are currently a hot topic of conversation in the automotive industry. The manufacturers are busy introducing vehicle innovations with hybrid technology, plug-in hybrid and full battery.
The most recent is Suzuki’s move to introduce a concept car of the electric SUV type at the Auto Expo 2023 exhibition which will take place from 13-18 January 2023 in India.
This all-electric SUV made by Suzuki uses the code YY8, which is predicted to be the size of the Suzuki Grand Vitara.
It is reported that the model will be officially launched in 2025, but for now only the SUV in the concept phase has been shown.
Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car in India is this production-spec SUV, which is expected to compete with SUVs like the Nexon EV Max and Mahindra XUV400.
Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said: “For more than four decades, Maruti Suzuki has consistently brought the joy of mobility to customers through industry-defining products and technologies.
“Auto Expo 2023 is another opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to the future of mobility through our range of sustainable and technology-based products,” said Takeuchi as quoted by Cartoq.
Takeuchi added that the exhibition at Auto Expo 2023 will highlight Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to a cleaner, greener, sustainable and carbon neutral offering for the future.
“We are confident that our range of all-new SUVs, futuristic Concept EV, hybrid, flex-fuel prototypes and our products will capture the imagination of enthusiasts.”
