Lucid Motors Vice President of Global Communications, Nick Twork, has provided clarity on a detail regarding the forthcoming Gravity SUV. In a recent update on the social media platform X, Twork confirmed that the production version of the Lucid Gravity will feature a single charge port, a departure from some development models that were observed with two charge ports.
āThe production Lucid Gravity will have one charge port. Some development cars have two charge ports for testing purposes,ā Twork stated in his post. However, he did not specify whether the production model would be equipped with a Combined Charging System (CCS) or a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port.

This announcement has been met with a positive response on social media, with members of the electric vehicle community expressing approval. The decision to include a single charge port is seen as a practical choice, simplifying the transition for drivers moving from combustion engines to electric vehicles.
Recent speculation had suggested that the Gravity might include two charge ports, one for CCS and one for Teslaās NACS. As the Gravity is slated to begin production in late 2024, it remains to be seen if it will initially be equipped with a CCS port.
Teslaās NACS page notes that Rivian and Ford electric vehicles are currently eligible for NACS-compatible Superchargers, which are available at over 15,000 locations across North America. The page also mentions that access for vehicles from Nissan, General Motors, Volvo, Polestar, and Mercedes-Benz is ācoming soon,ā though Lucidās vehicles are not yet included in this list.
