Kia Expects Challenges in European EV Market Despite Strong EV3 Launch
All EV3 models are equipped with a 150 kW electric motor located on the front axle. The standard model accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, slightly quicker than the long-range variant, which takes 7.7 seconds due to the lighter weight of the smaller battery. The EV3 operates on a 400-volt system, with Kia’s entry into the 800-volt market expected to start with the EV6.
The EV3 measures 4.30 meters in length, 1.85 meters in width, and 1.56 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.68 meters, matching the Sportage combustion model. The interior offers a headroom of 1,015 mm in the front and 955 mm in the rear, and legroom of 1,060 mm and 950 mm respectively. The load compartment ranges from 460 to 1,200 liters, with an additional 25-liter frunk under the front bonnet for storing items like the charging cable.
