Electronics company Keysight Technologies and automotive group ETAS have joined forces to develop a new cybersecurity solution for automakers.
The partnership involves integrating ETAS’s CycurFUZZ, a smart automotive fuzzer tool, into Keysight’s Automotive Cybersecurity Test Platform. This collaboration aims to provide automakers with a comprehensive testing solution to identify and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities in vehicle software.
Fuzzer tools like CycurFUZZ work by injecting invalid inputs into devices to uncover potential vulnerabilities. By integrating this tool into Keysight’s platform, automakers can conduct rapid and autonomous testing of their vehicle software, helping them to enhance software quality and strengthen cyber resilience.
ETAS’ Vice President of Sales in North America, Eric Cesa, highlighted the importance of collaboration in improving software quality and cyber resilience in automotive products. He stated, “Our agreement with Keysight is an example of how collaboration enables automakers and their suppliers to constantly improve the software quality and cyber resilience of their products.”
Keysight’s Vice President, Thomas Goetzl, emphasized the significance of future-proof testing in mitigating the risks of evolving cyber threats in the automotive industry. He stated, “Future-proof testing is vital to mitigating the risks of evolving automotive cyberattacks. Working with ETAS to incorporate this fast fuzzing test into our automotive cybersecurity solution will help end-users meet industry standards while growing their threats database knowledge.”
