California-based Karma Automotive has unveiled its latest creation, the Gyesera sedan, marking a significant expansion of its lineup as the company celebrates its 10th anniversary. This all-electric four-door model follows the footsteps of the 1,000-hp Kaveya super coupe GT, which made its debut in Las Vegas last year.

Unlike the range-extended GS-6, one of the oldest cars still on sale in 2024, the Gyesera is purely electric. While it shares its platform with the GSe-6, Karma Automotive has reimagined most aspects of the car, making it an all-new model with distinct performance and styling.

“The Gyesera, with its modern aesthetics, innovative features, and exceptional performance, represents our vision for the future and embodies Karma’s renewed corporate direction,” said Marques McCammon, President of Karma Automotive.

Karma Automotive has released preliminary specifications for the pre-production Gyesera. Featuring a 120 kWh battery, the sedan is expected to offer a range of over 250 miles on a single charge. Its powertrain is projected to deliver a combined output of 590 horsepower and 693 lb-ft of torque, enabling acceleration from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds and a top speed exceeding 135 mph.

Constructed on an aluminum spaceframe chassis with carbon fiber and aluminum body panels, and aluminum SLA suspension, the Gyesera is estimated to weigh 5,300 pounds. The sedan measures 199.9 inches in length, 78.9 inches in width, and 52.4 inches in height, with a wheelbase of 124.4 inches.

Comparing favorably to the Tesla Model S in terms of body and wheelbase length, the Gyesera boasts a lower and narrower profile.

While pricing details for the Gyesera have not been disclosed, Karma Automotive has positioned the sedan as an ultra-exclusive and exotic model, surpassing the exclusivity of the Cadillac Celestiq.

“In comparison to vehicles like the Cadillac Celestiq or even the Porsche Taycan, our vehicles will be more exclusive,” McCammon stated during the EV’s launch at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.

McCammon also revealed to Automotive News that Karma Automotive plans to manufacture approximately 2,000 Gyesera EVs over a four- to five-year production period.

Reservations for the Gyesera are now open, requiring a $5,000 pre-order fee. Customer deliveries are slated to commence later this year for the 2025 model year.
