Hyundai is on the right path in their electrification strategy. Models from the Ioniq family are always awaited and prove to be very special. The combined Ioniq and N families will create Hyundai’s first all-electric performance model, the Ioniq 5 N.
Rumors about the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N have been circulating for a long time. Several spy pictures have surfaced in recent months. Recently, Korean YouTube channel Woopa TV got a rare chance to get a close look at the EV it found in the parking garage.
The vehicle in the parking lot comes in white and black camouflage, but we can still see some clear points of difference between it and the standard Ioniq 5.
The first difference lies in the front end where the fascia has been redesigned with a new grille that will help with cooling
Another thing about this prototype is found in the cabin with all-leather bucket seats for the driver. One thing is for sure the seats on this prototype look very similar to those available for the i30 N. Although it could be that Hyundai has only fitted them to this prototype for testing purposes.
The technical specifications of the Ioniq N remain a mystery. We have to wait until the vehicle is launched. However, we can use the Kia EV6 GT as a similar comparison. The Kia EV6 GT comes with 577 hp via its dual motor system, allowing it to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.
