US manufacturer Hyster has introduced the new Hyster J2.0-3.5XTLG series of fully electric forklift trucks, equipped with lithium-ion batteries. These forklifts, which can lift up to 3.5 tonnes, are designed for a wide range of applications, both indoors and outdoors.
According to Hyster, the new electric forklift models are well-suited for use in industrial warehouses, outdoor logistics, yards, and loading areas in industries such as wood, metal, chemical, and building materials. The J2.0-3.5XTLG series aims to provide a durable, flexible, and emission-free solution for various scenarios, offering performance comparable to combustion engine forklifts.
“Many industrial businesses are looking to drive down emissions and are keen to replace ICE models with electric fleets. But they need to do so cost-effectively, while maintaining high performance and productivity,” said Fraser Brash, Product Manager at Hyster. “The new Hyster lift trucks are a competitively priced, emission-free option with tried and tested toughness built in.”
The lithium-ion battery technology offers significant productivity benefits. Charging during breaks can maximize shift operating time, and the battery itself is maintenance-free. The elimination of engine maintenance and battery changes reduces downtime, while energy costs can be halved compared to combustion engine models. The forklifts come with a long battery life and a five-year warranty, providing added value.
Customers can choose between models with 154 V or 115 V batteries to match energy requirements to operating intensity. Hyster claims that the battery capacity of the J2.0-3.5XTLG models exceeds that of many competitor products, ensuring longer running times and less downtime.

The Hyster J2.0-3.5XTLG series features up to 34 percent better visibility through the mast, a spacious and weatherproof cab, large superelastic tires, and high ground clearance, allowing forklift drivers to work efficiently even on uneven surfaces and in challenging weather conditions.
