HiPhi Reveals Plans for Global Expansion and Unveils HiPhi Y as Newest Model Addition

Chinese automaker, HiPhi, recently announced its plans for global expansion, unveiling the HiPhi Y as the latest addition to its advanced model line-up. The HiPhi Y will join the dual flagship models, the HiPhi X and Z, with plans for the first HiPhi customer cars on European roads to debut in 2023, with the Middle East following shortly thereafter.

To kick off its global expansion, HiPhi has confirmed that Munich, Germany and Oslo, Norway will be the first European cities to host HiPhi Hubs or showrooms. These experience centers are inspired by the HiPhi Hubs already established in China, and will offer an immersive experience to prospective customers, allowing them to get a feel for HiPhi’s cutting-edge technology, luxury design, and advanced features.

The HiPhi X Super SUV has already received European Union Individual Vehicle Approval, with the HiPhi Z Digital GT to follow shortly. This milestone will allow both models to be sold in key European markets, representing the first step into markets outside of HiPhi’s home country, China. The HiPhi X is already the best-selling luxury EV domestically, known for its exceptional range of over 600km and advanced features like the intelligent automatic door system with wings.

Similarly, the HiPhi Z brings numerous innovations like the HiPhi Bot, featuring a robotic arm holding an infotainment screen with four degrees of freedom and eight-direction high-speed motion. The HiPhi Z went into production in late 2022 and, together with the HiPhi X, uses advanced battery technology and efficient motors to deliver superior all-electric range (CLTC).

With orders set to go live for both HiPhi X and Z in Europe, and the first customers receiving their cars before the end of the year, the next stage of HiPhi’s global expansion comes with the Y, recently revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show. Fully designed and engineered with global markets in mind, the HiPhi Y will mark an acceleration in volumes and an even broader expansion into Europe, with the first customer orders expected to be taken by the end of 2023, and deliveries in Europe anticipated in 2024.

The HiPhi Y has already completed multiple engineering tests, including winter testing, with mass production preparations progressing rapidly. Its wing-opening doors, advanced technologies, and powerful, efficient all-electric powertrain are inspired by HiPhi’s dual flagship models.

In a statement, HiPhi Founder, Chairman, and CEO David Ding said, “HiPhi has been committed to building a global high-end brand from China since its inception, so while we delve deeply into the Chinese market, we also look globally. In 2023, we will launch a global brand strategy and expand into overseas markets, with the European and Middle Eastern markets the focus of our first wave of expansion.”
