Ford is building on its successful fourth-quarter electric vehicle (EV) sales by extending its “Power Promise” program, which includes a free Level 2 home charger and standard installation for all new EV buyers.

The promotion, launched in October 2024, has been extended through March 31, 2025, and aims to make the transition to EV ownership smoother by ensuring that drivers wake up to a fully charged vehicle every morning.

Ford’s efforts to ramp up its EV sales were successful in 2024, with the company reporting a 34.8% year-over-year increase in EV sales. Ford sold 97,865 fully electric vehicles in 2024, including record-breaking sales of the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit models.

The Mach-E had its best-ever sales quarter in Q4, selling 16,119 units, and remained the second-best-selling electric SUV in the US, trailing only Tesla’s Model Y. Meanwhile, the F-150 Lightning saw a slight dip in sales during Q4 but still managed to achieve a 38% increase in sales compared to the previous year, with over 33,500 electric pickups sold.

Ford’s overall US sales for Q4 2024 rose by 8.8%, totaling 530,660 vehicles, while full-year sales climbed 4.2% to surpass 2.07 million. The company attributed much of this growth to its increased sales of electrified vehicles, including hybrids and plug-in hybrids, which saw a 38% year-over-year increase to nearly 285,600 units sold. These results outpaced rivals like GM and Stellantis, further solidifying Ford’s position as a leader in the electrified vehicle market.

With the success of its EV sales in 2024, Ford is continuing to incentivize buyers through the extended “Power Promise” program. The program also includes an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, 24/7 live support, and roadside assistance, ensuring a comprehensive ownership experience for Ford EV customers.
