Homologation testing in Europe and the US is set to be completed in March, with sales expected to commence once the regulatory approval process is finalized.
The Fisker Ocean will first be available in the US, Canada, Austria, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and France, followed by the UK (right-hand drive), Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, and India (also right-hand drive) in 2023. The Fisker Ocean has generated significant interest, with over 65,000 reservations as of February 24th, which is 2,000 more than at the start of production in November. The vehicle is being manufactured by Magna in Graz, with 56 units already produced. While Fisker planned to manufacture 300 units in the first quarter of 2023 and 8,000 in the second quarter, the carmaker still aims to build 42,400 units this year.
In addition to the Fisker Ocean, the company has released teaser images of its second model, the Pear. Fisker started accepting reservations for the Pear a few weeks ago and has already received 5,600 pre-orders as of February 24th.
The teaser images of the Pear showcase the exterior design, with a continuous light strip around the back window and the signature Fisker dual light bars surrounded by high-tech light graphics on the front. Fisker says that the dynamic shape has undergone extensive aerodynamic testing in the wind tunnel and is expected to have a range of well over 300 miles. The company aims to achieve a base price of $29,900 when the car goes into production, with the first models scheduled for delivery in 2024.
