Fisker Ocean One Launch Edition: A Comprehensive Autobahn Test Unveils Performance and Impressions

Customer deliveries of the highly-anticipated Fisker Ocean One Launch Edition recently commenced, and one lucky owner in Germany, known as ‘Gentlemen’s World’ on YouTube, wasted no time in taking the electric SUV to the Autobahn to put it through its paces at high speeds.

With its eye-catching matte blue exterior finish, reminiscent of the promotional cars seen over the past year, the flagship Ocean One Launch Edition certainly stands out on the German roads.

In his review, the owner expressed satisfaction with the spacious cabin and particularly praised the comfortable yet sporty seats and well-designed steering wheel.

Under the hood, the Fisker Ocean One Launch Edition is powered by a duo of electric motors generating a combined 550 hp, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in an impressive 3.9 seconds. During the test drive, the YouTuber managed to reach a top speed of 129 mph (208 km/h).

Beyond its performance, the SUV boasts a promising range thanks to Fisker’s Hyper Range battery, allowing it to cover an impressive 379 miles (610 km) on a single charge.

However, the review did uncover some areas for improvement. The YouTuber noted that the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) appeared somewhat sluggish in wet conditions, and despite the ample grip from its big tires, the Ocean One Launch Edition exhibited some understeer while cornering. Additionally, the torque vectoring system seemed less responsive than anticipated.
