The Rivian R1T is finally out on the road after a long wait for fans. One of the owners of the R1T Launch Edition shared his experience on the Out Of Spec Review channel finding vehicles that have had years of hype and anticipation.

The first thing to discuss is the buying process, which is described as running smoothly. Very good customer service and very practical. Trade-in is done online, at a reasonable price.

The second thing is very solid product quality. He then mentions the excellent build material and calls it super solid all round.

The R1T Launch Edition is said to have good hardware, with a super responsive infotainment screen. It’s even better than Tesla’s infotainment screen. The R1T also has a dash in front of the driver, something the Tesla Model Y doesn’t have.

Dashboard as an important feature and note that driving without a dashboard and having to look at the center screen is awkward.

The R1T’s Dog Mode works well. The Rivian app works well too – although in this case the Tesla App is rated better. The thing to pay attention to is Route planning which comes with very accurate range estimates. This is important for electrical efficiency and driving time.

For a first time, the R1T Launch Edition feels great. The R1T is very well produced and attractive overall. This is a note considering Rivian is a new car company.
