Electrified Vehicle Engineering 2026 will take place on November 4–5, 2026, at the British Motor Museum in Warwick, United Kingdom. Organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the two-day conference focuses on engineering challenges and technical developments associated with battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs).
The conference brings together engineers, researchers, developers, suppliers, manufacturers and academics working across electrified vehicle development. Its program covers battery systems and technology, energy density, battery management, battery life and longevity, recycling, whole-vehicle electrification and the integration of batteries, electric motors, power electronics and charging components.
Additional sessions examine power electronics, electric motors, inverters, DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, charging standards, fast charging, high-voltage safety and electromagnetic interference. The program also addresses sustainable vehicle design, manufacturing costs, lifecycle considerations, critical material sourcing and supply-chain challenges.
The conference extends beyond passenger cars to electrification applications in commercial vehicles, buses, urban mobility, heavy-duty and off-road vehicles, agriculture, marine and aviation. Participants can also explore developments in hydrogen fuel-cell integration, software and embedded systems, thermal management, vehicle testing, control systems, safety and regulatory compliance. The event contributes 14 CPD hours.
