EVBox, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has introduced its latest innovation in charging technology – the EVBox Troniq High Power. This state-of-the-art charging station is capable of delivering an impressive 400 kW of power, making it the company’s most powerful offering to date.
The EVBox Troniq High Power boasts a scalable architecture that can accommodate up to ten 40 kW power modules, providing flexibility and adaptability to various charging requirements. Customers can choose from three options, with output power options of 320 kW, 360 kW, or the maximum 400 kW.
Interested buyers can already place orders for the EVBox Troniq High Power, and it is expected to be available for purchase starting in the fourth quarter of 2023. To meet the growing demand, EVBox plans to produce up to 2,000 units of the charging station this year.
Prior to its market launch, the EVBox Troniq High Power underwent a successful testing phase at two locations in France and the Netherlands. These tests demonstrated its exceptional performance, compatibility with different vehicle types and battery technologies, as well as its ability to operate effectively in varying weather conditions and use cases.
One of the key features of the EVBox Troniq High Power is its impressive charging speed. In optimal conditions and if supported by the vehicle, the station can theoretically recharge a range of 100 kilometers in just three minutes. However, it is more likely that the charging power will be dynamically shared between two vehicles, allocating 200 kW to each vehicle. This is because no current series-production vehicle is capable of charging at the full 400 kW power output.
During the “early adopter” program near Amsterdam and Toulouse, the EVBox Troniq High Power showcased its reliability and performance. Over a span of five months, more than 4,000 successful charges were completed, totaling over 1,700 hours of active charging. Impressively, this amounted to a delivery of more than 91 MWh of energy to electric vehicles, further validating the charging station’s capabilities.
Remco Samuels, the CEO of EVBox, highlighted the significance of high-power charging in accelerating the adoption of electric mobility. Samuels emphasized the need for faster and more accessible charging solutions to encourage a wider range of drivers to make the switch to electric vehicles. The launch of the EVBox Troniq High Power is a significant step towards making electric mobility the new norm, and EVBox is determined to drive the industry forward with this groundbreaking announcement.
With the EVBox Troniq High Power leading the way in charging technology, EVBox continues to innovate and contribute to the global transition towards sustainable transportation. As the demand for electric vehicles continues to rise, robust and high-power charging solutions like the EVBox Troniq High Power will play a crucial role in facilitating convenient and efficient charging experiences for EV owners.
