Electric bicycles have come a long way since their inception, and the latest crop of performance-oriented e-bikes has broken the traditional mold of simply strapping an electric motor onto the back wheel or crankset of a regular bicycle. These purpose-built machines are designed to take you beyond your neighborhood or town and have even been touted as capable of replacing your car on a daily basis.
One of the newest entries into the market is the Eunorau Flash, which is a highly versatile electric bike that can be configured in a multitude of ways to suit your needs. It has an eye-catching motorcycle-inspired design, and while it may look similar to Super73’s e-bikes, what sets the Flash apart is its ability to house up to three batteries for an impressive range.
The Flash can be configured with just one battery for shorter trips, which makes it even more appealing as users can pack just as much charge as they need for specific trips without carrying excess bulk. The bike is offered in a rear-hub driven setup with a 750-watt output, a dual-motor setup with a combined output of 1,500 watts and all-wheel drive, or a mid-drive motor outputting 1,000 watts.

The base model of the Flash comes with a 750-watt rear hub motor and a single 52-volt battery pack, and it will retail for a reasonable $1,499 USD during the pre-launch phase. However, as you add motors and batteries, expect the price to rise steeply. The Flash can cover up to 220 miles on pedal assist if fitted with all three batteries, which is an impressive feat for an electric bicycle. All models are limited to a top speed of 28 miles per hour, in accordance with e-bike rules and regulations.
The Flash is outfitted with hydraulic disc brakes and LED lights front and rear as standard components, and you can even install aftermarket fenders if you choose to use the bike as your daily commuter to work. However, it does not appear to have the ability to be fitted with luggage racks or baskets, so users may want to carry a backpack for their daily commutes.
The Eunorau Flash will soon be available on the online crowdsourcing platform Indiegogo, and a landing page for the bike is already active. While orders cannot be placed yet, interested buyers can sign up for a $1,000 USD discount when the bike goes live. Overall, the Eunorau Flash is a highly versatile and capable electric bike that can be configured to meet a wide range of needs, making it a great option for those looking to replace their car or simply have a fun and efficient way to get around.
