Polish charging infrastructure manufacturer Ekoenergetyka has introduced its Megawatt Charging System (MCS) solution at the IAA Transportation event. The new system features an optional MCS and CCS connection on a satellite unit, enhancing its versatility for electric vehicle charging.

The MCS is designed to work with a power unit-satellite combination, utilizing the Axon Side 360 DLBS power supply unit, which was announced earlier this year. This configuration allows for the delivery of a total output of 1,440 kW through four power units, according to Ekoenergetyka.

The Axon Side 360 DLBS distributes charging current to multiple satellites via dynamic load balancing, similar to other systems offered by companies like Kempower. The SAT 1500 MCS satellite enables charging of heavy-duty electric vehicles with more than 1 MW of power, significantly reducing charging time to approximately 35 minutes, aligning with drivers’ break periods.

Its compact design and capability to charge two vehicles simultaneously make it suitable for areas with space constraints, such as major transportation routes and logistics hubs.

Ekoenergetyka offers the charging station in three configurations: MCS only, CCS only, or a combination of both. In the single-connection options, only one charging point is available, while the combined version allows simultaneous charging for vehicles with either MCS or CCS ports, catering to the diverse needs of the electric vehicle market.
