General Motors will reveal the Chevy Blazer EV on July 18. The Chevy Blazer EV is an all-electric midsize SUV that is expected to go on sale next year along with the electric version of the Chevy Equinox.
GM first teased electric versions of the Blazer and Equinox last year. Pricing for the Chevy Blazer EV itself hasn’t been revealed by GM, though the automaker says the Equinox EV will start at $30,000.
The Equinox and Blazer will be positioned as Chevy’s compact and midsize SUVs. The Blazer EV is also expected to make an official debut alongside the SS performance model.
The Equinox and Blazer will be built on GM’s Ultium platform, which will serve as the foundation for the next generation of EVs.
The Chevy Equinox with an internal combustion engine is ranked as the 10th most popular SUV of 2021 by the Kelley Blue Book.
The Equinox EV and Blazer EV will be the first steps for Chevy, which has invested $35 billion to electrify its entire lineup by 2040.
