Cadillac has officially introduced the Optiq in China, positioning it as the brand’s entry-level electric crossover beneath the Lyriq. The Optiq, first previewed last year, features a distinctive design highlighted by a black crystal grille with integrated lights that synchronize with the turn signals and headlights, mimicking its larger sibling’s choreographed lighting sequence.
Measuring 189.8 inches (4,822 mm) long, 75.3 inches (1,912 mm) wide, and 64.7 inches (1,644 mm) tall, with a wheelbase of 116.3 inches (2,954 mm), the Optiq is slightly smaller than the Lyriq, offering a more compact footprint. However, it still boasts a range of premium features, including rain-sensing wipers, flush-mounted door handles, and a panoramic glass roof. The range-topping variant even adds a black roof for a more dynamic appearance.

Inside, the Optiq mirrors its larger counterpart, featuring a 33-inch curved display, heated and ventilated leather front seats, a heated leather steering wheel, and a range of other luxurious amenities. The interior is further enhanced by a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a 126-color ambient lighting system, an AKG audio system, a wireless smartphone charger, and a digital rearview mirror.
Two powertrain options are available, with the standard range variant offering a 68.4 kWh battery pack providing 333 miles (536 km) of range in the CLTC cycle. This model features a front-mounted motor producing 241 hp (180 kW / 245 PS) and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm) of torque, enabling a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 7 seconds and a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h). Alternatively, a long-range variant is available with a larger 79.7 kWh battery pack offering 373 miles (600 km) of range and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 283 hp (211 kW / 287 PS) and 343 lb-ft (465 Nm) of torque, capable of accelerating to 62 mph (100 km/h) in under six seconds.

Standard driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane centering, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and OnStar. The range-topping variant adds Super Cruise and a head-up display to the mix.
Pricing for the Optiq starts at ¥239,700 ($33,110) and goes up to ¥269,700 ($37,254) for the long-range variant, positioning it competitively in the Chinese market.
