Belgian charging solutions provider MobilityPlus announced a €40 million financing round to boost its expansion in Belgium and France. Suma Capital, via its Climate Impact Fund III, led the round, with existing investor Concentra also participating.
Although MobilityPlus did not disclose individual investments or the ownership structure, the new capital will help the company scale its operations and Charging-as-a-Service (CaaS) model.
Suma Capital’s partners, Ruperto Unzué and Jérôme Petitjean, commended the investment, stating, “The company has an impressive track record of innovative charging solutions, sustainable growth, and a solid customer base. We are excited to support their further expansion to decarbonise transport and mobility.”
Founded in 2016, MobilityPlus manages over 15,000 charging points across Belgium and France and provides access to an additional 550,000 stations in Europe through roaming agreements. Targeting primarily B2B customers with its ‘eXperience platform,’ the company aims to offer a seamless, cost-efficient solution that includes engineering, infrastructure, real-time data, and energy management.
Co-CEO Kris Pensaert emphasized the strategic importance of growth, noting, “Our customers want to focus on their core business and rely on MobilityPlus for a seamless, worry-free charging experience.”
