BMW has announced the commencement of production of the Mini Countryman Electric at its Leipzig plant, marking a significant step in the automaker’s electrification efforts. In a significant move towards enhancing battery recycling efforts in Northern Europe, Finnish battery recycler Fortum and the Swedish-Norwegian battery recycling joint venture Hydrovolt have joined forces. The alliance aims to bolster the region’s status as a model for the battery circular economy.
