Cenntro announced the completion of construction of the 10,436 square meter (111,363 square feet) facility that will house the Company’s wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, Cennatic Power Inc. Cennatic will manufacture advanced lithium-ion batteries that will be installed in Cenntro’s electric commercial vehicles. The construction was completed ahead of schedule. Installation of the production line equipment will begin immediately at the purpose-built manufacturing facility strategically located in the Aero Industrial Park in Monterrey, Mexico. The body of the Tesla Cybertruck is confirmed to be made of steel manufactured by Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI), such as SpaceX’s Starship. Tesla has delivered a total of 10,000 of their electric vehicles to Israel. The 10,000th delivery will occur on November 15, 2022. The first deliveries of Tesla’s electric vehicles in Israel started in early 2021. At that time, the first shipment of Model 3s from Fremont arrived at the Port of Ashdod in February. Since then, Tesla has been delivering regular Model 3s from Fremont and then Giga Shanghai arriving in the country in the following months. Hyundai will launch the all-electric IONIQ 6 SUV and the upgraded Seltos SUV in the United States next year to boost sales. Hyundai plans to introduce the IONIQ 6 in the US in the first half of 2023, the company said in a statement. US electric truck maker Orange EV announced it will build a new corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Turner Logistics Center, Kansas City. The facility is targeted for occupancy in mid-2023, giving Orange EV access to over 400,000 square feet of industrial space. The new facility at the Turner Logistics Center will include production and office space for the company’s operations. General Motors (GM) recently gave its views on the state of the global supply chain for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers. According to him, supply chain constraints will not hinder the electric vehicle maker’s goal of achieving profitability by 2025. “GM expects its EV portfolio to have a similar margin profile to its internal combustion engine portfolio over the next three years after factoring in US tax credits on cars and trucks,” said General Motors CEO Mary Barra. Foxconn invested up to $170 million in Lordstown Motors in exchange for common stock and preferred stock. The Taiwanese electronics giant is deepening investment in US electric pick-up truck companies, which could challenge Tesla’s Cybertruck. The injection of investment from Foxconn comes as the company aims to ramp up production of its debut model, the Endurance.
