Kia said it has enabled owners of its EV6, EV9, and Niro electric vehicles in the United States to access more than 21,500 Tesla Superchargers through its Kia Access app, expanding total DC fast charger availability to approximately 40,000 across the country. The expansion follows Kia’s adoption of the North American Charging Standard (NACS) and represents an 80% increase in the number of fast chargers available to its customers. Mercedes-Benz has introduced a long-wheelbase version of its all-electric CLA saloon tailored specifically for the Chinese market, just weeks after the global debut of the standard model. The CLA L made its premiere at the 2025 Auto Shanghai, marking the first time the automaker has applied the long-wheelbase format to this vehicle class. U.S. electric vehicle maker Rivian is facing mounting supply chain and cost pressures following the announcement of new tariffs on imported vehicles and auto parts set to take effect later this year. Tesla has reached a new production milestone at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, announcing on Friday that the facility has produced its 400,000th vehicle. MAN Truck & Bus has initiated a tender process to deploy battery-electric trucks across nearly 40 logistics routes by 2026, as part of a broader effort to decarbonize its own transportation network. The move comes amid test operations involving MAN’s eTGX truck on selected routes in Bavaria, with full rollout expected next year.
