Lexus is giving a refresh to its first electric car model, the UX 300e, by creating a new, larger battery storage. This addition is made so that the Lexus UX 300e, which was first launched in 2020, remains relevant in the face of increasingly fierce competition in the electric car industry. General Motors (GM) through its subsidiary GM Defense, will build a prototype battery pack for testing and analysis by the United States Department of Defense. The agency’s Defense Innovation Unit is seeking scalable designs that could be used in versions of electric tactical military vehicles. Rivian has issued recalls for nearly all electric vehicles it has shipped over the past year due to a potentially loose suspension issue. A total of 12,212 electric vehicles consisting of the R1T electric pickup truck, R1S electric SUV and Rivian EDV electric delivery van. In August, Rivian discovered that the upper control arm had slipped off the steering knuckle on one of his vehicles. Rivian then conducted an internal investigation and identified six further reports related to this matter. Volkswagen’s sales during the third quarter of 2022 in the US increased 12% year-on-year to 88,820 according to a recently released report.
