Turkish electric vehicle maker Togg plans to raise production to at least 60,000 vehicles in 2026, building on output of about 40,000 units last year, as the company advances its first phase of international expansion following its market entry in Germany. Luminar founder and former chief executive Austin Russell has agreed to accept an electronic subpoena seeking information stored on his mobile phone, according to a court filing on Tuesday in the company’s ongoing bankruptcy proceedings. Global sales of electric vehicles rose to 20.7 million units in 2025, up 20% from the previous year, according to a new report by market research firm Rho Motion, marking the largest annual increase on record for the sector.
