Alpha Motor Corporation has just revealed the face of its newest EV, namely the Montage, an Electric Coupe with a stunning design.
The Alpha Montage is like a car straight out of a time machine, as it has the old-school exterior look of a 50’s British sports car.
The manufacturer says the Montage Coupe will be in limited production and only available through private sale as an exclusively purpose-built special construction electric vehicle. Prices for the limited production model with a retro feel start at $499,000.
Montage is clad in a subtle metallic silver paint to reinforce its classic impression. The Alpha Montage Structure is a teardrop-shaped cab with side-mounted fender scuffs.
The result is a car with an elegant profile accented with chrome ornaments. The central hood features the triangular Alpha emblem in fine metal finish.
On the interior, this classic EV has room for two passengers. There is a retro-looking instrument cluster with a large analogue dial with chrome trim all around.
The center console has large vents with more chrome trim and a classic radio. A modern touch is seen with the presence of a digital speedometer and digital sound system.
Even though it’s classic on the outside, the luxurious and futuristic impression is quite pronounced on the inside because the Montage seats use high-end leather from Spinneybeck.
FYI, Spinneybeck is a company committed to working with the highest quality of sustainable and biodegradable materials.
Alpha says the Montage is available with an optional electric drive unit that produces 201 horsepower (150 kilowatts) and 2,640 pound-feet (3,335 Newton-meters) of torque. Power is channeled to the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission with a ratio of 9.53.
The classic EV is planned to be equipped with a custom built lithium-ion battery pack with an estimated range of 250 miles. The vehicle will feature an onboard charger with fast charging capability, electronic steering, independent suspension and performance disc brakes.
