Allego, a player in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, has unveiled a strategic collaboration with Oil! Tank & Go, a prominent filling station chain in Denmark. The partnership aims to deploy ultra-fast charging stations at select pit stops across the country, marking a significant step towards fostering seamless EV adoption.
Under the terms of the collaboration, Allego and Oil! Tank & Go have identified 14 sites across Denmark where the installation of these high-speed charging points will take place. While the exact number of charging stations planned for this initial phase remains undisclosed, previous projects such as the one with Vinci Autoroutes in France provide a glimpse into Allego’s typical offering – including CCS fast chargers, CHAdeMO, and AC charging points.

Notably, this venture is just the beginning, as an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) empowers Allego to eventually install chargers at all 80 Oil! Tank & Go filling stations scattered throughout Denmark. In a broader perspective, this partnership holds the potential for expansion across Oil! Tank & Go’s extensive network of 340 locations spanning Denmark, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Expressing enthusiasm for this alliance, Allego’s Chief Executive Officer, Mathieu Bonnet, asserted, “Through this partnership, we are furthering the enablement of a seamless EV driving experience and the adoption of EVs in Denmark and beyond.”
Similarly optimistic about the collaboration’s impact, Oil! Tank & Go’s Country Manager, Henrik Schöler, highlighted its capacity to provide a diverse range of refilling alternatives to customers. This expansion of charging options ensures efficient charging of electric vehicles while enjoying the convenience of the fueling stations.

It’s worth noting that the sites earmarked in the collaboration represent an addition to Allego’s previously announced backlog of 1,314 locations. Although it remains uncertain whether this backlog is specific to Denmark, the company is simultaneously engaged in numerous EV charging rollout projects across various countries. In recent developments, Allego has introduced uniform charging rates for its fast-charging stations in Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark. This adjustment, implemented since July, offers consistent rates for direct payment DC charging at and above 50 kW, streamlining the charging experience for EV users across these regions.
