Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) has announced a significant agreement to provide Stagecoach, a leading UK public transport operator, with 244 electric buses. The order, slated for delivery between 2025 and 2026, includes a mix of double deckers, single deckers, and smaller town service buses.

At the forefront of the order are 180 units of the Enviro400EV electric double decker, featuring a 472 kWh battery and capable of a maximum range of 260 miles (418 kilometers). These buses, accommodating up to 96 passengers, were first chosen by Stagecoach shortly after their introduction in early 2023.

The order also includes ten Enviro100EV electric midibuses, each measuring 8.5 meters in length and capable of carrying up to 45 passengers. These buses are equipped with NMC batteries offering ranges of up to 285 miles (459 kilometers), with Stagecoach opting for the larger battery variant following their initial order in December 2023.
