Mini has finally unveiled the look of an electric crossover, the Concept Aceman, which brings a new design language and technological innovation that will shape future Mini models.

The Concept Aceman fills the gap between the Mini Cooper hatchback and the Mini Countryman SUV, retaining the four-door and five-seat layout.

With the future in mind, this crossover will also be Mini’s first full-electric model to join the lineup when the production version is released in 2024.

Mini is still keeping the tech specs of the Concept Aceman a secret, but Mini provides the vehicle dimension specifications. The Concept Aceman is more than four meters long, two meters wide and 1.59 meters high.

Oliver Heilmer, Head of Mini Design, said that the design and dimensions of this crossover creatively maximize the use of space on the road.

In the latest design concept “Charismatic Simplicity,” the design features striking new elements such as the illuminated and covered octagon grille at the front, and the vertical taillights, both of which display the symbolism of the Union Jack.

The British Racing Green roof accompanies white bodywork with filled fenders and strong contoured wheel arches combined with 20-inch alloy wheels. This accent comes in blue and pink-orange.

On the interior side, the Concept Aceman is equipped with a flat-shaped dashboard that comes in a soundbar design that runs along the dashboard, a circular OLED center screen like on previous Mini models, and a toggle switch bar positioned below.

In a shift towards being more environmentally friendly, the Concept Aceman uses sustainable textile materials instead of leather. Both the interior and exterior are also free of chrome elements.

The user experience with the Mini is also enhanced, through features such as sensor-based animations that play when approaching a vehicle consisting of lighting and sound effects.

Mini itself plans to show the true form of the Concept Aceman at the world’s biggest gaming event, Gamescom 2022, which will take place in Cologne, Germany.
