Hubject has formed a partnership with AmpUp, a North American provider of EV charging solutions, to improve the accessibility and convenience of electric vehicle charging. The collaboration begins with the integration of Hubject’s Plug&Charge platform, allowing users to authenticate and pay for charging sessions automatically.
As part of the partnership, AmpUp’s charging stations will be connected to Hubject’s global eRoaming network, providing access to over 1,000,000 charging points worldwide. This move is intended to expand charging opportunities for EV drivers and enhance the overall user experience.
AmpUp’s CEO, Thomas Sun, highlighted the importance of charger availability and user-friendly solutions in driving the EV transition. “By partnering with Hubject, we are committed to enhancing the charging experience for our customers while expanding charging opportunities in their communities,” he said.
Hubject, in turn, views the collaboration as an opportunity to strengthen its presence in North America and foster closer relationships with charging point operators (CPOs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). “We welcome AmpUp as a valued partner in the Hubject eMobility ecosystem,” said Trishan Peruma, CEO of Hubject North America, emphasizing the goal of providing a seamless and secure charging experience for EV drivers across the region.
