LG Business Solutions USA announced it has opened orders for its first U.S.-assembled DC fast charger, a stand-type model equipped with a Power Bank that can provide up to 175 kW of charging power.

The new Level 3 charger, designated as the LG EVD175SK-PN, is being built at LG’s Fort Worth, Texas facility.

The unit features a high-resolution 24-inch LCD touchscreen, an 18-foot liquid-cooled CCS/NACS charging cable, and dynamic load management capabilities.

The charger also allows over-the-air updates and supports multiple payment options. Certified to UL 2594, the new charger is part of LG’s effort to expand its footprint in the EV infrastructure sector within the U.S. market.

“Our Level 2 and Level 3 chargers are creating new opportunities for businesses, municipalities, and other public places to support the electrification of America,” said Michael Kosla, Senior Vice President at LG Business Solutions, emphasizing the potential for independent charging stations to generate new revenue streams and offer added differentiation for businesses.

Since January, LG’s 100,000-square-foot EV charging production center in Fort Worth has been manufacturing Level 2 chargers and plans to assemble ultra-fast 350 kW chargers in the future.

This facility shares space with LG’s larger one-million-square-foot distribution center, which handles consumer electronics and home appliances, as the Seoul-headquartered company increases its U.S.-based production capabilities.
