The Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 has showcased its logistics capabilities by transporting approximately 82,000 liters of beer to Oktoberfest in Munich. Operated by logistics company Lettl Transporte, the electric truck delivered beer on behalf of the Hofbräuhaus, highlighting its utility for significant event logistics.

Lettl Transporte managed the nighttime beer deliveries for the Staatliches Hofbräuhaus, utilizing the eActros 600 with a tanker trailer that has a capacity of 27,500 liters. During a practical test, the electric truck completed multiple trips to Theresienwiese over three evenings, after being refueled at the brewery. The truck made four stops at the Hofbräu festival tent to ensure that the beer was delivered to the appropriate kegs.

In addition to beer deliveries, the eActros 600 was used to supply fresh pretzels for the festival. The Höflinger und Müller bakery, which operates two shifts at a facility near the festival grounds, employed the electric truck with a refrigerated trailer to transport baking blanks.

Currently, the eActros 600 is still undergoing practical trials and is not yet in series production. However, production is set to begin at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth by the end of November, with the first customer vehicles anticipated to be manufactured and registered in 2024. The eActros 600’s performance at Oktoberfest indicates its potential role in sustainable logistics.
