French roaming platform Gireve has secured 20 million euros in fresh capital, with the funds earmarked for the platform’s expansion and the development of new services. Among the investors is the US investment platform Partech, alongside existing backers.
The capital infusion is aimed at accelerating the platform’s growth across Europe and beyond, with a focus on integrating new features like plug & charge and clearing. Additionally, Gireve plans to broaden its roaming services to include data and consulting solutions.
Currently active in 35 countries, Gireve connects over 500,000 charging points and boasts partnerships with industry players like Hubject, Tesla, and Charge4Europe. The company highlights the benefits enjoyed by partners and customers, including simplified contracting, invoicing, and data exchange.
Eric Plaquet, President of Gireve, expressed enthusiasm about the capital raise, stating, “We are very pleased to welcome Partech Impact as a shareholder in Gireve. The support of a leading investor aligns with our logic of global growth at this stage of our development. The strategic alignment is strong, and the values are shared. With this fundraising, we are financing our plan to improve our services continuously and offer an increasingly powerful and high-quality platform.”
Gireve had previously introduced the PNCP (Plug aNd Charge Protocol) in September 2023, facilitating the implementation of Plug & Charge for access to their trust services.
