Caviar, known for its luxury customization of tech and accessories, has launched a new limited edition gold Porsche eBike Cross 3rd Gen, dubbed the “Herzog.” The company has described this project as the “Royal Porsche Electric Bike,” featuring a range of premium material upgrades for a luxurious finish.
The Caviar Herzog is a customized version of the original e-bike, featuring a Shimano motor and full suspension system. The carbon frame of the bike has been given a gold PVD titanium coating, complemented by 18-karat gold alloy parts that are wear-resistant. Additionally, the saddle and handlebars have been replaced with premium brown leather equivalents, adding to the bike’s luxurious appeal.
While Caviar has not specified all the changes made to the bike, it has noted that some parts have been replaced and others decorated. Developed in collaboration with ROTWILD, the Herzog is powered by an 85Nm Shimano EP801 motor with a 504Wh battery. The 12-speed model also includes a Shimano XT rear derailleur and Fox Float suspension at the front and rear, with a small display showing speed.
The Caviar Herzog Porsche eBike Cross 3rd Gen is priced at $44,000, significantly higher than the original model’s retail price of around $11,000. Only nine units of the Herzog are currently available, and customers will receive a customized iPhone with Porsche branding as a gift with their purchase.
In a statement, Caviar said, “We are thrilled to unveil the Caviar Herzog, a truly unique and luxurious take on the Porsche eBike Cross 3rd Gen. With its premium materials and exclusive design, the Herzog embodies the essence of luxury and sophistication.”
