Lucid Motors has introduced a new feature called Creature Comfort Mode for pet owners, akin to Tesla’s Dog Mode, which is now available on all Lucid Air electric sedans through a software update.

Designed with pet safety and comfort in mind, Creature Comfort Mode allows owners to set and maintain the vehicle’s temperature while they are away. To activate the feature, Lucid owners can simply press the paw-themed Creature Comfort Mode icon on the Pilot Panel touchscreen.

When activated, a message displayed on the vehicle’s 34″ Cockpit display informs passersby that Creature Comfort Mode is engaged and that the owner will return shortly.

For added peace of mind, owners can monitor the feature and the cabin temperature in real-time through the Lucid Mobile App. Additionally, the feature disables the vehicle’s pedals and windows to prevent pets from accidentally rolling down the windows while it is active.

Creature Comfort Mode is available for free on all Lucid Air electric models through an over-the-air (OTA) update. The feature will maintain the vehicle’s internal temperature after the owner exits and will automatically disengage when the door is opened upon their return. Lucid has stated that the feature will remain active until the vehicle’s battery reaches 1% energy remaining.
