Toyota has announced the introduction of two new electric vehicles (EVs) to the UK market, namely the nine-seater Proace Verso EV and the five-seater Proace City Verso EV. Deliveries of these vehicles are expected to commence in March.
The Proace Verso EV, designed as a shuttle, is offered in two length options: 4.96 meters and 5.31 meters. Equipped with a 100 kW electric motor and a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery, both variants boast a range of up to 143 miles (203 km) on a single charge, with a top speed electronically limited to 130 kph.

Toyota highlights that the battery’s placement beneath the vehicle floor helps preserve cabin space. Charging the battery from ten to 80 percent capacity reportedly takes less than 30 minutes using a rapid DC power supply.
Pricing for the Proace Verso EV starts at £42,998 for the short version and £43,488 for the long version.
Meanwhile, the Proace City Verso EV, accommodating up to five passengers, shares the same powertrain as its shuttle counterpart. Although Toyota has not disclosed a specific range for this model in its press release, configurators from other countries suggest it can travel up to 275 kilometers on a single charge.

Both the Proace Verso EV and the Proace City Verso EV are now open for orders in the UK, with Toyota anticipating deliveries to commence in March.
